BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS

Mapping Your Faith Journey

As we develop our relationships with Christ we tend to go through different phases or environments. Each step of the way we should seek to draw closer to God, others, and our purposes. At FUMC we encourage people to draw out a map of their lives. When they do, they begin to notice how different stages of their lives went through these different environments. We believe that life is similar to a journey and with God that journey has direction. During first-century Christianity, many Christians would use the Chi symbol in Greek which is an "X" to refer to Christ. We believe that our journey should always seek Christ which is why we say "Come join us on the Journey; where X marks the spot." If you feel lost in your journey and don't know what to do next, please come and visit us - we would love to help you navigate the next step for your life.

Relationship environments make healthy relationships with people who have a common interest in learning about God. During Acts the Gospel was spread by the disciples uniting together. It is imperative that we remain united in our pursuits. FUMC has a commitment to creating environments where people can also connect with people. These environments happen after our Sunday gatherings and during Sunday School classes or joining us for a Wednesday Night supper. Small groups and classes are also great places to start and build relationships.
